Britney Spears’ Former Bodyguard Testifies
Tony Barretto, a former bodyguard for Britney Spears, was a "secret witness" in the ongoing custody battle with Kevin Federline.

Barretto attorney Gloria Allred arrived at the courthouse Monday where he was supposed to testify about the alleged "issues of nudity by Ms. Spears, drug use, and safety issues involving the children." Allred claims that he was "reluctant to come forward," but "he decided to do so because of his concern about the safety and well-being of the children." Barretto did not have to testify, but his written testimony was instead submitted as evidence in the hearing. Barretto was fired by the Gimme More singer on May 17. Allred claims that he was fired because "he did not hear her when she asked him to pick up her hat."
Spears lawyer Laura Wasser denied that her client did drugs and said Barretto "isn’t a credible witness." She claims that he is a "disgruntled former employee." This was Wasser’s last day on the job as Spears’ attorney; Marci Levine will replace her. Wasser said, "I don’t want anyone to perceive that we’re dumping Britney. In a lot of attorney-client relationships, there comes a time when fresh blood is necessary." She added, "Britney will be in excellent hands with Levine."
Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, are currently battling over custody of their sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. For now the former marrieds have 50-50 custody of the boys. That ruling will remain in effect for the time being. Federline is seeking primary physical custody of the boys. He claims that he will be better able to provide a safe environment for the boys, but there are many that think he is just after more money. His spousal support of $20,000 per month reportedly runs out in November and if he has more custody of the kids he will receive more child support from Spears.
