Britney Spears’ Car Impounded

Spears, 26, reportedly left the car in the middle of the road in Brentwood, California because the car had a flat tire. Lt. David Grimes of the Los Angeles Police Department said, "Ms. Spears’ car was impounded. Officers on the scene told me it was blocking the roadway and that it was unsafe enough to leave at the location." Grimes said of the car, "It was towed by a private company that’s contracted with the city. Her car is being held at the official police garage tow yard." Reportedly, if Spears does not pick up the car within 30 days it will be auctioned off. Grimes said that Spears would have to pay the tow fees, but she will not receive a citation or have to pay any fines.

Spears was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Saturday after being hospitalized early Friday morning following a stand-off at her home in Studio City on January 3. Spears was originally hospitalized after she locked herself in a room with her youngest son – Jayden James – refusing to return him to the custody of ex-husband, Kevin Federline. The stand-off lasted for four hours before Spears was removed from her home on a stretcher and taken to the hospital where she was to spend 72 hours in lockdown for a medical evaluation. She checked out of the hospital well before the 72 hours. It was initially reported that Spears was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, but a source close to the singer claims that she was clean and has been for "some time."

Once Spears checked out of the hospital she reportedly met up with Finalpixx photographer Adnan Ghalib, 35. Spears and Ghalib are rumored to be dating and have spent time together on numerous occasions over the past few weeks. The two have been spotted checking into two different hotels together. Ghalib claims that the two are "just friends." Friends or not Ghalib was noticeably absent during her trip to the hospital. Spears and Ghalib were spotted Sunday morning at the Daily Grind in Palm Desert. The restaurant’s manager said, "She seemed in a really good mood, laughing with the guy she was with."
