If you're a skier or snowboarder seeking a mountain town with tremendous nightlife for your next mountain getaway, look no further than Breckenridge, Colorado. Offering a selection of over 100 unique restaurants and bars, Breckenridge keeps the party alive well after its lifts have stopped turning for the day. From pubs to clubs to old west saloons, you're sure to find a watering hole along historic Main Street that meets your apres ski needs.

Kick the evening off by visiting one of the locals' favorite apres ski bars. The Quandary, Park Avenue Pub, Mi Casa and the Breckenridge Brewery can all be found within easy walking distance of the resort's Peak 9 base area. These bars offer spectacular happy hour specials along with the opportunity to recount the highlights of your ski day over a cocktail or beer.

If you're looking to see live music, head to 320 South. Formerly known as Sherpa and Yeti's, this well-hidden basement bar features touring national acts nightly. From rock to reggae to hip hop, 320 South offers an eclectic mix of music from around the country and beyond. If you're a fan of live jazz, head north on Main Street to the Blue River Bistro, a contemporary martini bar located on the banks of the Blue River.

Travelers seeking a more mellow bar where they can watch their favorite sports team will appreciate Downstairs at Eric's, Kenosha and Burke and Riley's Irish Pub. Eric's and Kenosha feature two of the the best beer menus in town, with more far more selections than you could possibly sample in an evening. Burke and Riley's features traditional Irish libations and might be the only bar in town where you can find your favorite soccer team on the big screen.

If you'd like to take in a bit of history with your drink, check out the Gold Pan Saloon. The "Pan" has the distinction of having the oldest continuously held liquor license west of the Mississippi River. While the bar was originally established to cater to Breckenridge's mining crowd, it is still a popular nightlife fixture in Breckenridge today. The Brown Hotel, originally built in the 1860's, now operates solely as a bar and game club. The historic Victorian building's lower-level rooms are filled with pool and ping pong tables, foosball, and air hockey games. Watch for the ghosts that are rumored to haunt the property when heading upstairs.

Those interested in partying the night away on a dance floor, should consider the Salt Creek, Cecilia's or the Liquid Lounge. These bars feature Breckenridge's largest and best dance floors and cater to a younger crowd. If you plan on staying out until the town shuts down for the night, these establishments stay packed until 2 am.

No matter where you choose to celebrate in Breckenridge, you're sure to have a great time.
