Breaking the Hold
I don't know how to describe it... comment please.
I stare through the shuttered blind,
The past seems to capture my mind.
Your words entwine all of my body,
Your hold is too strong I cannot break free.
I'm no longer sitting in my little rocking chair,
I'm chained up inside I'm gasping for air.
Your face is so close it's nearly touching mine,
Those eyes in the light I can sense their shine.
Your blood boils with rage so evil inside,
I start to run but there is nowhere to hide,
The evil in your mind will always remain,
This is how you cause me so much pain.
You torture me with your clouded eyes,
You pierce my heart with all your lies.
I hear you breath lightly and start to speak,
Your voice is just how I remember it warm and deep,
Your words they rip my soul in two,
Yet I'm still falling in love with you.
Your gaze rips into me it soaks me in blood,
I'm drowning here in this tiny flood.
The last thing I remember is you kissed my cheek,
Your gentle touch makes me feel weak.
I'm back in my rocking chair but I feel so cold,
I can still not break free of your devilish hold.
Through the darkness a bright light beams,
I have rescued myself from those broken dreams.
As my blood drips silently to the floor,
I sit and realize I don't need you anymore.
The past seems to capture my mind.
