Breaking Dawn

As the morning sun rolls into the small town, and people begin to wake...
The golden light lazily rolls over the hills, traveling across oceans and deserts in a never-ending race against the darkness. It comes upon two small Islands and washes up on the eastern most beach. It travels on across the Islands until it reaches some small hills covered in lush green trees, and wild bushes. It travels up the hills and slowly spills down the other side onto the first roof of a small town, marking for the town, that dawn has officially arrived. It continues its journey, traveling to the middle of the town, still lazily rolling onwards until it reaches a young man, and momentarily blinds him.

Unluckily for this particular young man, he happened to be driving at that moment. Also what was quite unlucky is that everybody had forgotten to tell him what to do if you happen to get blinded from the sun while driving. So in any case this young man who unluckily got blinded by the sun, drove strait into a truck that happened to be backing out of a drive way.

As his car impacted with the truck, glass flying everywhere, the young man thought, for the first time, that maybe that black belt looking thing by his side could in fact have its advantages if it was actually around him, not as it was still loosely by his side. The thought had just enough time to flash through his head before his head flashed through the windscreen, with the rest of his body following and landed on the other side of the truck.

After the light had temporarily blinded the young man, it continued its journey through the small town until it creeped up a dirty brick wall, and fell through the topmost window onto the sleeping face of another young man. As the sun slowly creeped across the room it come upon the small table where the young man had slaved away most of the night ending up with a tube with a wick extruding from one end. Unfortunately for him he had poor eye sight, so when the sun reached the top of the table and rolled across, it come upon a magnifying glass, it flowed through, intensifying in heat immensely, and found the wick on the other side. At this point the young man, if having been awake and sober, might have considered the negatives of having a bomb in his room, he might have also remembered his mum telling him over and over, don’t play with fire, you might get burnt.

As the bang echoed across the small town the light continues to flow onwards towards the western edge of the small town. Once it reaches there it slowly rolls up the lush hills and over the other side, racing towards the darkness and ocean ahead of it.
