Brazilian Cherry Hardwood Flooring - All You Need to Know
Brazilian Cherry Hardwood Flooring is the latest fad in the hard surface flooring segment. If you're thinking about buying a Brazilian Cherry Floor, you're making a smart choice. However, before you browse the web online to buy your new floors you need to study up about this beautiful flooring and the various options you will have.

- Brazilian Cherry Hardwood Flooring creates either a warm and casual look or a very formal style for your room. It depends on the rest of the décor you have in the surroundings. Brazilian Cherry is a quite versatile style and can transform a room with the right layout.

- The Brazilian Cherry wood species is one of the most dense, hardest wood types on the Janka Scale ( an industry standard for wood hardness) and scores around 2800 out of 4000 for it's hardness. It will hold up well against dents compared to most other wood variations.

- A choice you will have to make is stained versus unstained. You can buy Brazilian Cherry in both a natural, unstained version or a stained finish. Both have a protected top coating but the stained may give you a more formal look with a deeper color if that's what you are looking for.

- This unique hardwood flooring comes in various widths. Usually you will see options between 3" and 7" wide planks. The width of the board is a decision totally up to you and depends on your personal preferences.

- Cherry Hardwood floors also come in both the engineered and solid board design. The solid option will probably give you a few more refinishes over the life of the wood (but probably not enough to really matter that much). The engineered option gives you an added bonus against excess moisture or humidity versus solid. (this is a standard difference in all hardwood floors when considering solid versus engineered).

- This species is available in all installation options. Depending on the type you choose (be sure to check before you buy!), it could be nail down, glue down, or floating floor style (which is awesome for installation over concrete subfloors or slabs).

When online or local shopping, be aware that this species of wood can sometimes darken over its life span. Brazilian Cherry can be bought locally or over the web. Also, most flooring distributors will gladly send a free sample for you to view. One extra tip is to buy an extra box or two if your budget can afford it. Just in case you were ever able to need to repair a spot in the floor, those extra pieces will come in handy down the road.
