Brain Stem
The brain stem is a connector, which connects the brain to the spinal cord. The basic function of the brain stem is necessary for survival. It is located at the furthest end of the brain and is also the most primitive area of the human brain. Injury to the brain stem will affect the functioning of the heart, along with the functioning of the digestive system.

Cerebellum
The cerebellum is located in the occipital lobe of the brain, which is the smallest lobe of the brain. It is located at the back of the skull. The cerebellum is about the size of a peach and consists of folded tissue. It is responsible for skilled and coordinated movements. Cerebrum
The cerebrum is located above the cerebellum. It is the largest part of brain and as a matter of fact makes up for almost two-thirds of the brain. Medulla Oblongata
The lowest section of the brainstem is the medulla oblongata. To be more precise it is located at the top end of the spinal cord. The automatic functions like heartbeat, breathing, etc. are controlled by the medulla oblongata.

Pituitary Gland
The pituitary gland is as big as the size of a pea. It is a part of the endocrine system, which is responsible for secreting different hormones and also maintains the hormonal balance in the body.
