A British tabloid reported that Pitt and Jolie’s relationship was rocky and they were on the verge of calling it quits. The tabloid ran an article that said "the passion between Brad and Angelina has cooled in the past year and she’s very close to breaking up with him." It was even rumored that the couple was set to take some sort of "trial separation." Jolie’s manager, Geyer Kosinski, reportedly said, "They are together and very happy."

A source close to the couple reportedly said that their relationship took a turn for the worse after the birth of their daughter, Shiloh, last May. The source said, "It was too much too soon, especially for Brad. They’re bickering an awful lot these days. They’re like an old married couple with kids – and they never even got married." Cindy Guagenti, Pitt’s publicist, denies reports of a split saying, "I responded to those two tabloids [Star Magazine and In Touch Weekly] with the correct information and they chose not to run it. There is absolutely no trial separation."

Pitt and Jolie met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith while he was still married to Jennifer Aniston. The two allegedly had an affair on set, although they have both denied the reports, and fell in love. He subsequently divorced Aniston and adopted Jolie’s two children, Maddox and Zahara. The couple welcomed their first biological child, Shiloh, last May, and Jolie just adopted another son, Pax, from Vietnam. Sources say that Pitt will adopt him as well. As for now Pitt and Jolie have no plans to marry, but have said that they are interested in adopting more children.
