Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to Finally Marry?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie aren’t married yet, but it appears that their children will be the catalyst for them tying the knot.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, in the news on a daily basis and the proud parents of six children – some adopted and others their own biological offspring – may marry at some point in the future, according to Pitt, but that time will only come when prompting from the children takes place. The news further indicates the open relationship that the celebrity couple has with their children, and how much the children are respected within the overall Brangelina family context.

Pitt, answering questions about the likelihood of he and Jolie marrying in the future during an interview with Ann Curry, noted, "If we feel it’s important, we would." Pitt was interviewing with Curry about his Make It Right Foundation, a project he’s working on in New Orleans. And though it may seem that the media are entirely obsessed with his children, Pitt wishes to keep them out of the limelight as much as possible and, specifically, tries not to talk about them with the media. "I just walk away feeling bad about it when I do." He added that whatever he says about his family "seems to get cheapened somehow as it goes through the filter and the airwaves. I just want to keep it close to the chest."

Apparently, the kids have already asked Pitt and Jolie why they’re not married, but it has yet to prompt wedding bells for the celebrity couple. Jolie recently told Vanity Fair, "Usually people fall in love and everything revolves around the ritual of marriage, children are an afterthought. We did everything backwards. But sooner or later it will be the kids who ask us [to wed]. You know, they see films and start asking questions such as ‘Why are Shrek and Fiona married and you’re not?’" Well said, indeed, children. While there are no imminent plans for Pitt and Jolie to follow the path of Shrek and Fiona, it does appear that the two are destined to follow in the footsteps of the revered cartoon characters.
