When Lance Armstrong rose like a phoenix and won the Tour de La France, it seemed to be a miracle. Such was his will power and determination that forget Tour de La France, he conquered cancer as well. Then as a dedication for all those who are suffering and who succumbed to this horrible disease, his organization, the Lance Armstrong Foundation and sports giant Nike, came up with yellow colored Livestrong wristbands. This was a few years back, since then there has been a bandwagon full of bracelets for a cause.

Most of the time these bracelets or wristbands promote charity, and then there are those which are for specific causes such as bracelets for diabetics, bracelets for events and so on. Apart from this, bracelets are used to express friendship, a fashion trend and many other things. Wristband for Hope: This purple colored band is in remembrance of those who have lost their lives or the lives of their loved ones, due to cancer. Basically, these bracelets symbolize cancer awareness. This is for anyone who has been touched or has had an impact because of cancer.

Courage Band: Another among bracelets for a good cause, this is a red colored bracelet in support of those inflicted by Aids and those who have lost the battle against aids.
