Friendship Bracelets

Idea 1
Materials Required:
  • Embroidery floss, 3 strands, each 24" long
  • A pair of scissors
  • Measuring tape
  • Pin or cello tape
Tie the three strands together with a simple knot. Hook them up using a pin, or stick the edges on the table with a cello tape. Hold the other side of the strands together, and start twisting them in one direction. Twist until the length has gotten reduced to 18 inches. Holding firmly, fold the twisted strand in the middle, and twist again till you have reached the desired length. Tie the end using a simple knot. This friendship bracelet pattern is for beginners and is thus, one of the easiest bracelet ideas with string.

Idea 2
Materials Required:
  • Embroidery floss, 6 strands, each 24" long, any color
  • A pair of scissors
  • Pin or cello tape
  • Measuring tape
Collect all strings together from one end and tie them together using a simple knot. Leave about a 5 inch long tail while doing so. Take the first string from any one side, pass it over the string next (immediate) to it by wrapping it around it. Pass the string again through the third string and so forth until you have reached the sixth one. Perform a double knot when you pass it through the sixth string, so that the passed strings will be held firmly in place. Take the first string from the other side and continue wrapping it until the bracelet has reached the desired length. Idea 1
Materials Required:
  • Swarovski crystals, various shapes and sizes, 1 packet
  • Clear chord, 24 inches
  • Silver crimp beads, 1 packet
  • Silver clasp, 1
  • Crimping plier
  • Wire cutter
Bead either a single thread or double it up and do it, but the bracelet should be long enough to wrap it twice around your wrist. Hold one side cord onto a pin, pass one part of the clasp through it, followed by a crimp bead. Crimp the bead, string the crystal, then another crimp bead to secure the crystal. Leaving some distance, continue stringing crystals and crimp beads, alternating between different shapes and sizes. Lastly pass the crimp bead, then the second part of the clasp and snip off the excess cord.

Idea 2
Materials Required:
  • Swarovski crystals, one color different shades, sizes and shapes, 1 packet
  • Beading wire, 3 strands, 12 inches each
  • Crimp beads, 1 packet
  • 3-strand clasp, 1
  • Crimping pliers
  • Wire cutter
Pass the three strands through the clasp, then string the crimp beads and crimp them but make sure to work on one string at a time. Space out the beads, by adding a crimp bead, crystal, then another crimp bead, and so on. At the end the strands, thread each of the wire end through the other half of the clasp.
