The designs and instructions given below are quite basic. You can easily follow them. Just take each step at your own pace and move further to finish your bracelet designs with string.

Candy Stripes
  • Before we begin, collect the materials that we're going to require.
  • 3 colors of strings (3 green, 3 orange, 3 purple), safety pin, cardboard, measuring tape, and scissors.
  • Keep the clipboard in front of you, cut the strings (9 total) at least 3 feet long, and safety pin it to the clipboard.
  • Now hold all the strings together and tie a knot on the top. Arrange the string in this pattern - 3 purples, 3 orange, and 3 green.
  • We'll start with the first left purple string, taking it above the 2 strings, then behind 2 strings, and bringing it in front of 1 string. This is a half-hitch knot.
  • Secure the knot properly. With the same first string, you will make another half-hitch knot on the next 3 strings. Keep making the half-hitch knots till you reach the far right side.
  • In the end, the left purple string has now become the right side string. Again you will begin with the next first string and work your way to the right side with the half-hitch knots.
  • Work your way down the strings and when you get the right size of the bracelet, make another knot to end the bracelet.
  • Braid the remaining strings in the end. And voila, your first woven bracelet is ready.
Braided Strings
  • Before we begin, collect the materials that we're going to require.
  • 5 colors of strings (3 green, 3 yellow, 1 pink, 1 blue, 1 white), safety pin, cardboard, measuring tape, and scissors.
  • Keep the clipboard in front of you, cut the strings (9 total) at least 3 feet long, and safety pin it to the clipboard.
  • Now hold all the strings together, leave at least 2 inches at the top, and tie a knot. Arrange the string in this pattern - 3 green, 1 pink, 1 white, 1 blue, and 3 yellow.
  • If you know how to braid hair, then this will be a piece of cake for you. Hold the left 3 green strings in left hand, right 3 yellow strings in right hand, and let the other 3 strings in the middle.
  • You will cross the right 3 yellow strings over the middle string. Now the pattern is 3 green, 3 yellow, and the other 3 strings.
  • Now bring the left 3 green strings over the 3 yellow strings. The way you will keep braiding a set of 3 strings over one another and keep braiding till the end.
  • When you reach the end of the strings, tie a knot in the end. You will have 2 inches on both sides of the bracelet to help you tie it properly.
  • And that's all you have to do. Now you have 2 cool designs ready.
