Boston Terrier Training Can Be Easy!

Having a boston terrier can really be a wonderful and exciting experience. However, it can also be total chaos if your boston is not properly trained and well-behaved. A well-behaved boston terrier will not only be happy and sociable, but will also be an excellent companion and addition to the family. Training your boston terrier really isn't as hard as you may think.

The boston terrier is often referred to as the "American Gentleman". I am pretty sure that you don't want your boston to ruin that reputation, so make sure you properly train him! You should start training your little boston terrier the moment you bring him home as a puppy. Even if you have an adult boston terrier that isnt obedient and still needs to be trained, you can still train him to be very obedient & well-behaved.

Training your boston terrier will not only make him behave better, but training will also specify his position in the family pack. If you don't properly train your boston terrier he can really start to act out and show behavior problems such as barking, biting, chewing on your belongings, peeing on the carpet. It does not matter how old your dog is, you can still train him to be the "American Gentleman" that he was meant to be.

Here are some basic things that your boston terrier should be tought:

Your boston terrier should be housebroken and should go potty outside, or in a designated spot that you specify. He should not just go wherever he wants.

Your boston should act nicely around other people as well as other dogs and animals. When having company over, your boston terrier should never jump all over them. He should be calm and wait for them to pet him. He should never go crazy, run all around, and jump all over them. He should also be calm whem meeting other dogs - and not try to bite, or bully them.

Your boston terrier should obey to basic obedience commands such as Sit, Down, Come, and Stay. Once your boston obeys those simple commands, you can start teaching him more advanced commands as well as some fun tricks. Lastly, your boston should walk nicely on a leash, without trying to pull you. He should walk at your side and follow your lead. You should always be in control, not him!

Having a well trained Boston Terrier will make him a wonderful addition to the family. It is very important to take the time to learn how to train your boston terrier. Give your boston terrier the training he needs to keep up his name as the "American Gentleman".
