Bobby Brown Disses Radio Station

Singer Bobby Brown has reportedly backed out of guest hosting at the Washington, DC radio station that allegedly bailed him out of jail.

Last Sunday, Brown was arrested in Massachusetts at his daughter’s school for failing to appear in court and failure to pay $19,00 in back child support and court fees. Brown reportedly did not have the money to post bail so the radio station HOT 99.5 FM posted his bail in exchange for Brown appearing on the morning show, The Kane Show, for one week as a guest-host.

Brown appeared on Friday’s show but after getting into an argument with Kane, the host, he hung up after about 10 minutes. Brown reportedly became upset when Kane brought up the child support issue calling it "personal." He also didn’t seem to be aware that he was to be a guest host on the show for the week and the two argued over that issue as well and hung up after a few minutes. The station posted an article on their Website that read, "If you have been listening to The Kane Show this morning on HOT 99.5 then you already know what’s happening. Bobby Brown has backed out on his part of our deal to pay his back child support in return for appearing on The Kane Show for one week."

Kane and HOT 99.5 Fm then decided to rescind their offer to Brown. It was reported that the radio station and Brown’s attorney mutually agreed that the deal "wasn’t in their best interest." Brown’s attorney allegedly agreed to return the money to HOT 99.5. Kane reportedly said, "We thought we clearly communicated to Bobby our intentions, but once we had him on the air this morning it was clear that we were not on the same page. At this point, we feel that there are better things we can do with the money locally and we’ll use this weekend to figure out how we’d like to use the money. We’ll take suggestions from listeners on Monday." Surely they can come up with a better use for the money than bailing Bobby Brown out of jail…
