Blood Stained Dust - Chapter 10
"That's not my hand..." What did Allia found out? And who is the visitor in the Alley?
I stormed in the door carrying Jayke in my hands and sprinted to my bedroom where Zeke was sleeping.
"GET UP, GET UP, GET UP!" I yelled jumping on top of him Jayke giggling his ass off.
"Ugh! What?"
"You know how I killed that vampire in the Alley right? Well, yeah I looked up in this book at the library."
"You were at the library?" Zeke interrupted.
"Shut up this is important! Ok, anyway we can bring two people who have been killed by a vampire back to life because I killed that vampire freak in the Alley!"
"What are you on about!?"
"If we find the body of the vampire before it turns to ash which takes 48 hours and it has been around 40 then we cut out his heart and ask for who we want to come back to life. They will be weak for a while but once they have their full strength back, it will be like they never died!"
"Are you sure about this?"
I threw Zeke the book and turned to the page where all the information was. He read it for a while then put it down.
"Let's go, find the body then!"
We jumped straight in the car and I called Kaylin on the way down to the Alley where I killed a vampire.
"Ok, so where did you dump the body?"
"In the trash." I said pointing to a big dumpster. Zeke sighed and climbed into the trash just as Kaylin pulled up.
"HEY!"
"What's going on?" She asked staring at Zeke climbing into the trash and looking really confused.
"We are gonna bring someone back to life."
"What are you on about?" She asked confused.
I described everything to her and even showed her the book for proof.
"Are you sure this will work?" She finally said after staring at the book for a long time.
"I have to try, I need my friends back and don't you want your family back? Everything could be good again imagine what it would be like to see your little brother and your parents again!"
"That would be the best thing I could ever hope for, but they will be the same age as they were when they died right?"
"Yeah, at least we have them with us."
"Well, let's do this!"
We searched for a while until we found the rotting body of the vampire at the bottom of the trash.
"YUCK! That is so gross!" Squealed Kaylin.
"Haha get used to it love." I said while dragging the body out of the massive bin.
"Wait, why?"
"The more people we want back the more people we need to kill."
"Oh this is gonna be fun!" Kaylin rolled her eyes.
I placed the vampires cold dead body behind some bushes where no one could see us. It's a good thing we waited till night-time otherwise we could have gotten caught. Everyone looked at each other than at the body confused.
"Well, who wants to do it!?" I yelled in whisper.
"NOT ME!" Screeched Kaylin
And Zeke looked like he was about to throw up so I grabbed the knife and decided to do it myself.
It's a good thing I passed science otherwise this would be really messy. It took a long time until I got the heart out but I did it and managed to not vomit.
"What do I do with it now!?" I yelped trying not to gag.
"You have to drink a mouth full of the vampire's blood without swallowing. Then lift the heart above your head and think of how the person you loved died, re live the whole experience in your head. Then when your tear drops swallow the blood and say their name in your head and wait." Zeke swallowed.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS!? I have to what! YUCK!"
"Allia you can bring back someone first seeing as you went to all the trouble." Kay whispered.
"Thanks..."
That is so gross but its worth it. I put my mouth inside the chest of the vampire and slurped some blood into my mouth, it tasted like metal and it was cold and thick. I was going to vomit. But I had to keep going. I lifted the heart above my head shivering and the disgust of what I was doing.
I recapped over the life of a loved one from the day we met to the day they died. Tears welled up in my eyes and poured onto the dirt, I swallowed quick and fast then thought their name. I began to cough and cry then dropped the heart, my head falling into my bloody hands.
It felt like a lifetime that we waited. Zeke placed his arm around my waist and kissed me on the cheek while I cried. Kaylin sat next to me curled up in a ball rocking back and forth staring at the body.
"They aren't coming, it didn't work." Whispered Zeke beside me.
"Yes they are, we need to have hope!" I squealed.
"It's been almost an hour bub they are not coming."
Just then a hand was placed on my shoulder.
"They are coming, Kay you don't have to reassure me."
"What to do you mean?"
"Your hand on my shoulder... you don't have to I know they are coming."
"That's not my hand..."
