Blood on the Moon: Chapter Six

Comment, smile, and enjoy! A picture of Ksenia.
***Ksenia's POV***

I blocked another attack from another clumsy vampire. Apparently, Sandira assumed the quantity would be enough. Quality over quantity. My hand turned into a paw. Cool... I ripped the head off a vampire. Ugh, messy. Monroe is in danger, I thought to myself as I began to feel guilty, only she matters to you...

Marik growled and bit a thug like guy and I had to be proud. Then, I heard a familiar growl. A cat... Woah! Joshua! A large black panther stalked into the room. Hooray! The vampires all turned to look at the feline. Their eyes widened and they backed up. There were only three left and there would be no way to win for them. They looked at their fallen buddies and ran like chickens.

The panther transformed into a devilishly good-looking man.

"Joshy!" I yelled happily then I got serious. "Sandira has Monroe." He nodded.

"I know. I've looked into her past aggressions for Gabe," he told me and I gaped at him. Avan's uncle?

"We have to hurry!" Marik yelled and I nodded.

"Sweetie, you stay here. Joshua and I will take care of it." I told him frowning. Marik pouted but knowing the urgency to do the task at hand, didn't argue. I smiled at him grimly. Then, I looked to Joshua.

"Let's go."

***Avan's POV***

Sandira hit me with another blast of her power. It was extremely painful. Monroe cowered behind me and I had the fleeting thought of why she wasn't in on the fight. Monroe is gentle, I decided. I knocked down a stand of books while I pushed Monroe towards the door.

Another blast and this one hit me in my right leg. I stumbled and Monroe tripped. I cursed as Sandira stepped forward. Then, in the speed of light she stood next to us. I fumbled in protecting Monroe from her but I was too weak and Sandira grabbed the whimpering Monroe's arm. I yelled at her to stop. And then the door burst open.

***Ksenia's POV***

We walked in to see chaos. The inside was a complete mess. Books laid across the floor and a bookcase leaned off to the side beaten up. Glass shards were scattered everywhere and pieces of nondescript pictures sat on the floor. Avan also laid on the floor. He looked so tired and beaten up. Blood gushed from numerous parts of his body. My first instinct was to rush to his sie but then I saw THEM in the middle. Sandira and Monroe.

Sandira wrapped her hand around Monroe's throat with an unfeeling stare. I ran forward but I was too late. God, why was I so late?

Sandira snapped Monroe's neck. I heard the loudest roar I ever heard. And it came from me...
Should Sandira die?
Yes.
No.
