When the "Internet" became a household word, most people who desired an Internet presence worried about the costs and effort it took to set up a website. Choose any blog that interests you and comment on it. This will teach you how to use the commands and the basics of blogging. When you feel a little confident, start your own blog and I promise you that you will have all the fun in the world through it. You can also earn money if that interests you. In order to be successful you need to love the subject you are blogging on. So before you launch your blog, ensure that you focus on a subject close to your heart. One man's hobby for example, can make a wonderful subject for blogging for fun.

Start with sharing your experience and giving advice. As you warm up, you can seek out news, hold exhibitions, network, make friends, and so many other such things through your blog spot. There are many people out there who simply want to reach out and make friends with like-minded people and there is indeed no better avenue to reach out than through a blog. You have your fun and you gain immense knowledge at the same time.

When you think you are ripe for it, you can monetize your blog so it can earn you money. By this time you will have your own share of followers who will promote your network further.

The simplest way is to install Google Adsense and Google Adwords to your blog, and this will earn you money automatically. If you want to put a little more effort into it you could start selling e-information products through your blog just as easily. It's easy to find affiliate products to sell on your blog. Try searching Google for "affiliate products (insert the name of the topic of your blog here)." Join several affiliate programs and offer related products in the "side bar" of your blog.
