Block Spam With Approved Sender Lists
Approved sender lists can be used to reduce spam to your company email inbox.
Prevent false positives from getting into your spam filter program by performing periodic reviews. Any email on your approved sender list will not be put aside as spam when using Postini's Email Protection Service. The approved sender list act usually helps prevent false positives, but also makes email vulnerable - some senders are able to send fake emails that have false sender's addresses. Your business can help reduce the amount of email that gets through the filters by periodically reviewing approved senders lists.
End users are able to manage approved sender lists using the Message Center; follow the steps below:

To find and change an organization within the list of approved senders:
End users are able to manage approved sender lists using the Message Center; follow the steps below:
- Log in to "Message Center"
- Click on the "Junk Email Settings" link in the top left corner
- Scroll to "Sender Lists"
- To add a sender, simply enter the email address (or domain) and click "Save to List"
- To remove a sender, just select the individual sender and click "Delete from List"

- In the "Administration Console," select the organization
- To view the approved senders list, click "Sender Lists" in Org Management
- Select the sender and click "Remove" to remove
- Find the users in the Administration Console, in "Users"
- Click on "Sender Lists" to view the user's approved sender list in the "User Overview" page
- Select a sender and click "Remove" to remove.
- To look at an approved senders list along with other information, use: "displayorg ORGNAME"
- To eliminate approved senders from the org list of senders, use: "modifyorg ORGNAME, approved _senders=SENDERSNAME"
- To look at an org approved sender list along with other info, use: "displayuser USERSNAME"
- To eliminate approved senders from the list, use: "modifyuser USERSNAME, approved_senders=SENDERSNAME"
