Blind In Love

Love does leave everyone blinded EITHER by the happiness it creates or by the tears it leaves behind.......read on .....( would appreciate comments)

I watched the moon tonight,
I spoke to the birds all day.
Pleaded my eyes not to deceive,
As I wait for you today.

To show you this,
To tell you that.
Spend hours with you,
Under the tree, on a mat.

Hiding away tears of joy,
Lips smile to pretend.
Open stretched arms wait,
To hug you, when you descend.

Your wedding ring gleamed, as you stepped
Everything suddenly went blur.
I handed over the roses still,
This last time to her.
