It cannot be argued that they do offer fantastic attributes which sets them apart from other high end business phones. We associate E-mail support and Internet connectivity in unison with BlackBerry mobile phones. This concept is not lost with the 8520 Curve either.

The phone has a fantastic display screen and creatively designed body structure for easy handling and storing. There is a nicely stretched display screen with four buttons underneath and a central key for multipurpose navigation. Below this is the full QWERTY keypad which has become essential if you tend to type a lot for text messaging or for using social networking sites such as Twitter or Facebook. On the backside the BlackBerry logo is embedded and text that reads "Curve".

The phone is quadband in nature meaning it can be used in all continents across the world. It can also be used for global roaming when traveling outside the country. It measures 109 millimeters tall, 60 millimeters wide and 13.9 millimeters in deep and has a weight of 106 grams which is amazingly light for a smartphone device. The TFT screen measures 2.64 inches or 320 X 240 pixels in size and is capable of producing 65K colours at one point. It has a touch sensitive optical pad right underneath the screen as well. Pre-set or downloaded wallpapers can be kept to beautify the look of the screen. Alert types supported are MP3, Polyphonic and vibration. There is a port for 3.5mm audio jack and dedicated music keys for quicker playback.

There is an internal memory of 256MB and it can be extended by 32GB using a microSD card. This is more than enough memory for storing a huge volume of data in various formats supported by the gadget. This memory stores contact information and contact photo along with call records for a significant period.

The memory also stores images captured from its 2 megapixel camera. Quality can be improved with the 5x digital zoom, flash and other camera settings. There is also a viewfinder display where the person who is capturing the image or video can clearly see what would be the final result. Videos can also be captured but in a lowly QVGA quality.

The phone runs on the very ease to operate BlackBerry Operating System with a processor speed of 512 MHz. This is blazing speed for a phone and would mean the device would be accessed very quickly. Applications would be launched and switched to at high speeds. Internet usage is also possible on the HTML supported browser. Connections can be initiated by way of GPRS/HSCSD/EDGE/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and microUSB data synchronization aspects. Entertainment is a never ending prospect here with an MP3 player, MP4 player, Downloadable games, Document Viewer, BlackBerry Maps etc amongst other organizational and security softwares.

BlackBerry is definitely a mind distracting device since its so very well built that you have to buy it! If you've already bought it then you can't keep your hands off of it.
