Black Skin Care Products
Black skin comes with its own set of perks and problems. Some skin care products cater to the special needs of this type of skin.

Black Skin Care Products for Regular Use
Black skin is not very prone to wrinkles and other signs of aging. Hence, it stays fresh and youthful for years. On the flip side, dark skin also tends to blemish easily. Acne scars, skin discoloration and pigmentation are some common skin related woes for colored people. Regular skin care can help you overcome these problems. Problem of acne is just as prominent in colored people as in pale skinned people. Acne medications prescribed for African-American people are usually the same as those prescribed for fair skinned people. However, one must realized that certain ingredients in these medications such as salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide can cause dryness of colored skin and eventually lead to discoloration. Home remedies for acne are usually safer for people of African-American origin. The scars or dark spots can be treated with fade creams such as Porcelana, Nadinola and Ambi, which are especially formulated for black skin.
Other regular skin care routine for colored people includes cleansing and moisturizing. Milk cleansers are ideal for colored people with oily skin. People with dry skin can moisturize their skin with aloe vera based skin creams or shea butter. Another important skin care routine for black skin is protection from sun damage. Although, it is true that black skin is less affected by sun damage than fair skin, there are still incidences of skin cancer amongst dark skinned people, due to overexposure to sun. A sunscreen lotion with an SPF of 15 or more is a must whenever you go out in sun. Remember, sun damage is not only about tanning or darkening of skin. You can get severe burns or blisters if you continue to expose in sun without protection.
