Warm Compresses
Once the swelling has decreased, one must switch from cold compresses to warm compresses. This is usually done at least 48 hours after one has got the black eye. Warm compresses help in getting rid of blood clots, drying issues, etc. and thus, inducing blood flow in the veins under the eyes. For applying warm compress, take warm water in a bowl and soak a cloth in it. Place this wet cloth under the eyes and hold it till the water becomes cold.
