"Drake!" Jean screamed, looking terrified at his limp body, then at me. I grinned. As the grin appeared across my face, she began to fight the vamp holding her. The other vamp joined Addere, behind me. I walked towards Jean, and leaned in close so the vamp wouldn't hear.

"Play along."

"Why!?" she screamed in my ear. An irritated look came across my face, I had to calm myself down before I spoke. I had to be careful not to lose my emotions. Else I might do something insane.

"Because otherwise I might just decide to let them bite you."

She shut her mouth at that. Good, finally she shut up. Again, I bit my tongue hard, blood-kissing her neck. After a moment's hesitation, she fell to the floor. I wiped my mouth, the pain dull in my mouth. Addere started to clap, and came up by me.

"How does it feel."

"Like I could kill you right here." I said, slightly angry he made me this way. I held my tongue, needed to control myself better. He stayed silent, staring at me oddly. I grinned, the blood in my mouth reviled. His brow came down, "You still have blood in your mouth."

Quickly a lie came to my head, "I never knew it tasted so good. I kept some in my mouth."

My head screamed EWW but I kept silent. He nodded, understanding. I shivered, then turned to the bodies.

"I want them."

"WHAT!?" he yelled in surprise.

"They'll turn into vamps, won't they? Cause I didn't drink the all the blood from em."

"Oh..well, we usually let others teach them how-"

"They were my friends...well, at least one was."

"Then why didn't you drink the all blood of that one?" he pointed to Jean.

"Ummm......." Shoot! What do I say to that!? Grinding my teeth, knowing Jean could hear me, I mumbled painfully, "I actually like her."

"What?" he came closer to hear me.

"I....like her....as a friend...." Dang it, why'd that have to be that painful?

He cocked his head, "But, all the things she said-"

I shrugged. Then walked towards them, secretly whispering in Jean's ear, "You so owe me."

Easily I threw them over my shoulders, holding them each with one hand. The vamps looked at me, amazed.

"We never thought you'd be that strong.." they looked slightly afraid. Good, they should be. I'm going after them first.

I grinned, then started walking towards the door.

"Wait! Why don't you proclaim us to everyone?"

I sighed, he had to think of that, didn't he?

"Then...um, we can't take em by surprise, can we? They'd be ready." Not to mention they'd all be after me.

Addere narrowed his eyes, "We could take them."

"I'm not saying you-"

"Then do it."

"I'm you Queen!"

"Not yet."

"Then when!?"

"When I say so."

I whipped around, "What!?"

"I'm the inheritance to the Thrown. Since you were bitten, as soon as you are crowned by me at our castle, I'm your King."

I glared at him, my anger starting to rise up. "As if you could take me."

"Don't, Angel." Drake whispered, remaining limp.

"Are you challenging me!?" Addere growled, becoming tense. A slight breeze kicked up, making his cloak drift in the wind, revealing his hands that were clenched tight. My heart rate kicked up, my eye shifting. I wonder what I looked like. Did I have cat's eyes? I assumed so, for Addere did. The tips of my fingers turned pointed, sharp. I tried to calm myself down. I set Drake and Jean down, turning away, breathing in deep, shaky breaths. Then a blow came from my back, sending my flying. I hit the cement wall around the door, pressing my face into it, leaving an imprint of myself in it. I staggered out, feeling the anger rising even more. The shoes I wore broke, claws replacing my feet.

"What-what!?"

"Anger rising, Angel? That's what happens when you lose control. Sharp claws for feet and hands, cat eyes. Have you noticed your hearing kicked up better?" Addere replied.
I looked at him angrily, "You better stop."

In one swift movement, he had Drake in his arms, standing near the edge of the roof. My face fell. Then one of the helper vamps had Jean, standing on the other side of the roof.

"Who would you rather save? Jean? Or Drake?" then they dropped them. Instinctively I ran towards Drake, pushing Addere out of the way, diving down after him. My wings opened up when I was under him, grabbing him, and throwing him over my shoulder, then I circled the building. She wasn't there. I looked up to the top, seeing Addere holding the screaming Jean, and jumping from roof to roof. Quickly I flew up there, hitting Addere in the leg, causing him to crumble and drop Jean. I landed, whispering to Drake to stay limp. I set him down, then turned to Addere, "What did you intend to do with her?"

"She awoke. I was going to take her life. Or hold her captive."

"Why?"

He grinned, "Because, if I take her life, you'll be angry, and I can channel that to the humans. But, it could back fire, so holding her captive would be better."

Jean ran up to me, "Angel! He-he-"

"Shut up." I growled angrily.

She walked back, "What?"

"Then you have nothing to do with me now." I said directed to Addere.

"Incorrect. I have everything to do with you."

"What!?"

He was next to me, his hand on my cheek. I quickly grabbed it, pushing it away, and stepping back.

"You know how easy it is to control someone? Take something, or something they want or love, then dangle it in front of them. They'll do anything to get it back."

I stepped back, "No."

He grinned, "Oh, yes. If you want to see your sister-"

I grabbed his throat, holding him up, "No."

"Threatening my isn't going to work, she'll die if you harm me."

I set him down, my fingers twitching, "What do you want then!?"

He grinned, "I want you to destroy the human race."
