Now pour bird seed on the newspaper and spread it in a thin layer. Take the pinecone and place it horizontally on the newspaper and roll it all over so that the bird seed sticks to its surface which is coated with peanut butter from all the sides.

To make this feeder, you will need an orange and bird seeds. With this minimum material we can start making the craft. Start by cutting the orange into half. You can also use a grapefruit instead. Just take an empty toilet roll and make two holes opposite each other, near top corner of the roll. Insert a string through one hole, pass it through second, and tie the two ends so as to hang it later. Now ask your kids to cover its outer surface with peanut butter. Now place bird seed on newspaper and roll the toilet roll coated with peanut butter over it, so that the bird seed sticks to the surface. Hang it and have fun watching birds.
