Biography of Chad Michael Murray
Murray headed for Hollywood in 1999 and has come a long way since. His television roles include those in:
- Diagnosis Murder, as Ray Santucci.
- Aftermath, as Sean.
- Megiddo: The Omega Code 2, as David Alexander.
- CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, as Tom Haviland.
The 2004 romantic comedy 'A Cinderella Story' gave his fans the opportunity to watch the star as Austin Ames and share celluloid space with Hilary Duff. The moderate box office hit made Murray a star overnight, earning rave critic reviews for his performance. His role in the 2005 action thriller 'House of Wax', grossed more than $68,766,000 worldwide! Murray's performance in the film also took him to the rostrum as recipient of many 'Teen Choice Awards', throughout 2006. The recognition earned him a place among the 'Sexiest Men Alive' within the list generated by 'People', in the same year. In 2008, Murray bagged yet another Teen Choice Award as 'Best TV Actor in a Drama' for his 'One Tree Hill' performance.
On April 16, 2005, Murray married Sophia Bush, his 'One Tree Hill' co-star. However, five months later, Bush filed for annulment. It was not long before Murray began dating Kenzie Dalton, first runner-up in the Miss North Carolina Teen USA pageant, 2005. Chad Michael Murray was also seen as the Pepsi Smash host on WB, in 2003 and as a guest on the ' The Sharon Osbourne Show', the same year. He was a chosen guest at a 'Real Access' show in 2004 and part of the MTV New Year's Eve Special in 2004. Chad remains a big fan of Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino and Sean Penn, and emulates the versatility of the stars in his own performances. He is a natural athlete and a pro at football, in-line skating, soccer and basketball. He is a teen icon as an anti-drug role model.
