'Big' Pete - 9

Yet another look into 'Big' Pete's life in a coffee house somewhere-Jump in anywhere.
Arturo strolled into work at about 6:30 and after a quick "good morning" to Marsha, the opening manager, he was back outside picking up trash in the parking lot. After that, he would water the landscaping in front of the coffee house and then hose out the dumpster area. It was a glorious morning Arturo was thinking to himself as he reached down to pick up a crushed to-go cup when a big 4 x 4 Chevy came rumblin' into the parking lot. This thing had tires that stood 2 and a 1/2 feet tall and a big chrome smokestack instead of a regular muffler. On the windshield was a saying across the top that said "Thumper".

Stacey, the new waitress, jumped out, making eye contact with Arturo. Not realizing he was staring, Arturo quickly looked down and then back up and waived a hello. Stacey smiled and asked him "Is it okay, for us to park here?"

Arturo didn't really know if there were rules on where employees could park because he rode a bike or took the bus to work. "Yea, it's fine, no problem" he said.

Stacey said thanks and headed in to the shop thinking about how much she hated that darn truck Chuck her ex gave her. She needed to sell it and get a car as soon as possible she thought.

Hey 'Big' Pete fans, I've recently published an ebook called:

Dr. Lane Bravo's Lecture's on Bervin "The Blue".

It is available on Kindle and Nook. I'd love for you to check it out.

Thanks for Reading!
