Big, Bad and Beautiful
A classic story of an ugly duckling who turns into beautiful swan with a little twist.
"Oh great, another day at West Chester High," I thought, "Why can't I just graduate already?"
Let me explain, I'm Rose Petal. Weird name, huh? Well that's something to talk to my parents about. Eh, that's a story for another time.
Anyway, I'm: 16, short, have warm chocolate-brown eyes, long blonde hair, deep dimples and 5'0".
Oh I'm also FAT, Not fat like "chubby" no, fat like one of those people on The Biggest Loser. I'm reminded of this every time I attend West Chester High with all the stick-skinny, skyscraper high bitches and idiot bastards. Especially Zack Zenner, the biggest bastard of them all.
I've known Zack and his partner-in-crime/girlfriend Ashley Rock since kindergarten when we all played in the mini-sandboxes. Before they started the torturing, we were all pretty good friends but it ended on that faithful day. May 18. The day Zack Zenner & Ashley Rock became a couple.

On May 18..
"Why do you always do that?" Ashley asked with a little attitude. We were watching Zack play football while we waited to be picked up.
"Do what?" I said.
"Stare at Zack like that when he's playing football." She said with a quizzical look on her face.
"I don't stare... w-what are you talking about?" I stammered, trying to hide my bright pink cheeks.
"Don't act dumb, do you have a crush on Zack or something?" She said rudely with daggers for eyes.
"Maybe I do. Maybe I don't. Why?" I said finally looking away from the game.
"You think he likes you back?" She said avoiding the question.
"No, he doesn't, he's not into big girls." I said glumly.
"Well... You could drop a few pounds. It wouldn't hurt anybody, just stop eating or throw up or something." She said looking away from me.
"THROW UP? Have you lost your mind or something?" I said nearly yelling.
"Lost my mind?" She said while standing up, "My bad I didn't know it was sexy to weigh like 500 pounds."
I lost all control & just slapped her. How DARE she say that.
"Rose! What the hell!" Zack yelled while running towards us. He leaned over Ashley like she was a hurt puppy.
"She said something bad." I said staring at his hand which was now around Ashley's waist.
"No I didn't," Ashely said like an innocent little girl. "I was just talking about how good she'd look if she was skinnier. Don't you agree Zack?"
"U-u-uh, well yeah..." Zack said looking down; "Come on ashley, I'll take you to the nurse.
They walked away, with Zack's arm around Ashley's shoulders. I heard later on, they shared their first kiss & became a couple that day. I went home and cried while eating a big carton of Ben & Jerry's. They were inseparable after that day. Especially since they were neighbors.
