Bible Verses of Encouragement

Difficulties in our Christian life are simply normal...all of us go trough them, but look up! Try to see how God sees your problem and listen the words of encouragement from your Father.
Bible Verses of Encouragement
As we go through life we try and try to be good Christians and we try to do all the right things but there are always those times when it just seems that nothing is going right and every time we try to do something for the Lord, it just gets turned all around and becomes a big mess….here are some verses form the Bible that are meant to encourage those that are in need of it.

"Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." Matthew 5:11-14

One of the most important things in the life of a Christian is witnessing to the lost and telling them about the wonderful gift that is available to them through the blood of Jesus Christ and acceptance of His gift. The problems come up when the world starts fighting to keep those people in the grips of sin and does its best to get rid of us. As we can see above, we are not to be discouraged by the world treating us this way, and even though it is mighty hard to rejoice at such treatment we cannot let our mouths be shut just because we are not liked very much! The light must shine and if we are not the ones to hold it up high, then who will? Remember Jesus died so that we could be saved and then his apostles were killed off one by one so that the message of salvation could be taken to the ends of the earth. Who are we to not try and do as much as we can…even if it does mean a little persecution.

"Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.

Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. "Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord." Hebrews 12:3-14

Many times in the life of a Christian we make mistakes that need to be corrected…it is when we do not correct them that the Lord has to do something to show us that we are on the wrong path doing the wrong thing. Trials can come up and hardships, afflictions all kinds of stuff can occur that the Lord allows to happen so that we can see what it is that we are doing to ourselves … it is in times like these that we need not to blame the Lord, we need to stop and carefully examine our lives and find out what the problem is and fix it, it is then that we can again enjoy that wonderful relationship that is to be had when you are a child of God.
