Beyonce & Jay-Z: Newlyweds?

Beyonce, 26, and Jay-Z, 38, reportedly were married Friday at his loft in Tribeca. They said "I do" three days after taking out a marriage license in New York. Neither camp has confirmed the nuptials, but outside sources have. A source said Friday, "It happened earlier this evening. Jay really wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family." Party preparations reportedly began early Friday. Flowers, candelabras, linens, and a white tent were all spotted being delivered to the rappers penthouse apartment. Sources say that the festivities really took a turn at about 2:30 a.m. and continued past 4 a.m.

It has been rumored that about two dozen family and friends were present at the nuptials including Beyonce’s parents Tina and Mathew Knowles, sister Solange, Jay-Z’s mother Gloria Carter, Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow. It was also rumored that the Knowles’ family minister was in town from Houston and reportedly married the couple.

Beyonce and Jay-Z began dating nearly six-years ago and have kept their relationship on the down low. In January 2006 Beyonce said in an interview, "I never pictured myself as a bride, but after my sister’s wedding, I did start thinking about what kind of wedding I’d want. I don’t think I want a big one." Guess she did get her small, intimate wedding. It has also been rumored that the couple is going to have a second ceremony in early May in France. Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, is also getting ready to close on a $150 million music deal with Live Nation.
