Appearing on the cover of Vogue magazine, you may wonder what Beyonce was going to talk about in the associated interview. She's been largely mum about being a mom in the past, and her performance at the Super Bowl recently had many distracted from talking about that particular item in her life - somewhat, at least.
But the singer was more willing to open up and talk about her personal life this time around. What she stressed above all else was her desire for her first child, Blue Ivy Carter, to experience the things that "normal" children do. It may take some doing to achieve that, given her famous parents, but Beyonce is apparently willing to give it the old college try. "At some point it's very important to me that my daughter is able to experience life and run through the sprinklers and have slumber parties and trust and live and do all the things that any child should be able to do. School visits and lemonade stands and all that stuff. It's very important for me."
The singer, who is married to rapper Jay-Z, took time off to have her child, who was just born in January of last year. Speaking of the moment when she actually went into labor, she noted, ''I felt like when I was having contractions. I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door. And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn't think about my own pain. We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication."
