Beware! That might just be Human Flesh on Your Plate..

The Russian police nabs three men trying to sell human flesh to a kebab house near Moscow.
Did the cannibalistic portrayal of Hannibal Lecter by Sir Anthony Hopkins in The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal leave you gasping for breath and the urge to throw up? Then, here's a real life story for you that will make you check twice before eating meat out again.

It was a few discerped pieces of a human body, lying near a bus stop in the Russian city of Perm, that raised the alarm. Immediately taking up the trail the Russian police arrested three homeless men with erstwhile criminal records from the outskirts of Perm, about 820 miles away from Moscow.

As per the statement given by Prosecutor-General's main investigative unit in Perm, these three men apparently stabbed and hammered a 25 year old fellow with vengeance as the primary motive. The mangled body was then butchered upon and chopped up into several small pieces. A part of the corpse was then divided and consumed by the three and the rest was sold to a local food outlet selling kebabs and pies. The statement did not however, clarify whether the flesh of dead body was served to the customers at all. The reasons for cannibalism on the part of the three suspects are also yet to be delved into. The three men were picked up by the police purely on the basis of suspicion.

It has been revealed by some nabbed cannibals that human flesh generally tastes and smells like pork. Some fictional works say that it tastes best after letting it rot for a few days. History too has seen some races indulging in cannibalism especially during the Upper Paleolithic period. Even the Bible has cannibalistic allusions in the passages that describe the siege of Samaria.
