"What are you talking about Dad?" I asked him.
"He is saying that you both have to die." Lincoln said. Just then my father got up and grabbed the gun he had behind he back. Lincoln quickly pulled me up and put me behind his back. Alex was standing in front of his brother.
"I am going to kill you, Sara, and then myself! Then we will be a happy family." My father screamed. Neither Alex nor Lincoln would move. I heard two shots, and then no one was standing in front of me. Alex was shot in the stomach, and Lincoln was shot in the shoulder. I screamed. I looked at my father and I started to back up against the wall.
"Sara, run!" was all I heard. I and ran into my room, and locked the door.
"Sara open the door!" my father yelled
"NO!" I screamed. I quickly dialed 911.
"This is 911, what is your emergency?" the person asked
"My father is tiring to kill me, he already shot my boyfriend and his brother! PLEASE HURRY!" My father started to bang the door down.
"Miss, where do you live?"
When he finally got it open I screamed. I didn’t bother to hang up the phone. He saw me, against the wall, pointed the gun at me again. I closed my eyes, I heard the gun load and then I waited for the shot. Once it sounded I was surprised that it was to the head. It was to my chest. I slid down the wall to the floor holding my chest, but I knew that there was no point. I heard the gun load again and then the shot. I expected it to go to my head this time but it didn’t. I opened my eyes to see Lincoln and my father fighting. I closed my eyes again. I heard another shot after that. I opened my eyes to see, my father lying on the floor, dead, and Lincoln on his knees, his face bleeding. I tried to crawl to him I made it half way when, I couldn’t move anymore. I closed my eyes, I felt so tired.
"Sara?" Lincoln asked me "Baby, please keep your eyes open. Did you phone the police?" I nodded and opened my eyes to see Lincoln with tears in his eyes. I raised my hand to his cheek, his put his hand on mine.
"Linc…I want you…to know…that...I-I love you." I saw a tear roll down his cheek
"Sara, I love you too" he said, leaning down he kissed me. He pulled away, I looked into is eye one last time, and drifted in to unconsciousness.

I woke up to the sound of beeping. I opened my eyes; I see Lincoln’s head on the side of the bed and Alex sitting in the chair on the other side of me with his head in his hands.
"How long have I been out?" I asked him. He looked up at me, he eye were red from crying. "You were crying?" his face lit up when he heard me talk again.
"Of course I was crying, how could I not, I thought my best friend died. You’ve been asleep for three days, and both of us have slept here. We have left once, that’s how worried we were."
"Wow, you cried, I wish I could see that." I giggled
"Well, maybe if your lucky, and we watch a sad movie, that I haven’t seen, I might just might cry."
"Okay, once we leave lets find a sad movie. Deal?"
"Deal."
"So, what happened after I was unconscious?"
"Well, the paramedics started to like bandage me and when they were trying to get Lincoln bandage and get you breathing again, Lincoln wouldn’t move. I had to go and like take him off you. I’ve never seen that sad before. Don’t ever do that again you got it?"
"Don’t worry I don’t I have any other father, and I wouldn’t want to hurt my two favorite people in the world." I said
"Who’s your favorite, favorite?" Lincoln asked. I turned to look at him and smiled
"Well, that for me to know, and you never to find out." I said grinning
"Yeah, well, I can think of a way to get it out of you." He said leaning in closer and closer
"Really, how do you plan to do that?" I replied. He kissed his passionately.
"You know what I am talking about now?"
"Nope." I said. He kissed me again, and again. "Oh, I see now. Well, I might or might not say, you are just going to have to find out."
"Yeah, okay, guys, we are in a hospital, and you know keep the lovey dovey stuff for home okay?" Alex said just as the doctor walked in
"Okay." We said together.
"Ah, Sara, you’re awake. Well, it looks to me that you can leave either tomorrow or the day after that. We just need to do a couple more tests. Okay?"
"Okay" I said then the doctor left.
"Well, you should get back to sleep." Alex said
"But-" I said
"No buts, you need your sleep, and trust when we are back home we will put your energy to some use." Lincoln said winking at me
"Ha, ha, ha very funny, now let me sleep." I said.
"Okay, have good sleep." Lincoln said kissing me again
"Night Sara." Alex said kissing my forehead. Then I drifted to sleep.

I went home the next day, and I finally had the comfort of my own bad again, along with Lincoln too.
"Hey Sara, shall we go out to eat tonight?" Lincoln asked me on a Friday
"Okay, let me just go and get ready."
"Okay"
We went to an Italian restaurant, one of our favorites. Lincoln seemed to be nervous for some reason.
"Are you okay?" I asked him "You seem nervous."
"Yeah, I’m great!" he said
"Okay" once we were done our diner we ordered dessert.
"Sara, I’ve been thinking lately" he said getting up and kneeling on one knee beside me. While all the staff was standing behind him by our table "Well, I love you so much, and I have decided that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" I was so shocked yet happy at the same time
"Yes, I will marry you." I said. He smiled he grabbed my hand and put the most beautiful ring I have ever seen, on my ring finger. The staff behind popped a wine bottle and announced it, to everyone else in the restaurant. Lincoln and I then kissed. When we got home, we found Alex watching a movie.
"Hey, Linc, how did it go? She say yes?"
"Alex knew?" I asked Lincoln
"Yeah, how do you think I got the ring."
"Alex, Alex guess what!" I said
"If its not about your answer then tell me later."
"I’m engaged to your brother." I said with a big grin
"Shut up, really?" we both nodded "Wow, this is sad."
"Why" I asked him
"My younger brother is getting married before me." We all laughed
"That is sad. Hum…oh well" Lincoln said
"Come on Linc, let’s go."
"Okay." He said, we started to kiss down the hallway
"Wait…I need an iPod tonight mine is dead." we ignored him and kept kissing into my bedroom, and then the door shut. "You guys that’s not funny, I’m serious! I need one of your iPods tonight!"

Alex and I got married 1 month after he asked me. We still live in the same apartment with Alex. We are soon going to buy a house.
