Beth And The Boss
Beth is surrounded by her father's thugs. They want her dead, so her father, the Boss, can rule Wonderland. Beth has to survive, but how?
The gate was locked, and Beth had nowhere to run. They were closing in on her, ready to kill. She had two options, die without putting up a fight or die and take them with her. Well, she never went down without a fight, and that was no exception. Option one was out. Beth could have taken some of them down, but not all of them, and certainly not enough to do much damage to the Boss. So option two was out. So, what should she do? Option one and two were out. They were now three feet away, and Beth was starting to panic. They would love her dead, Beth thought. If she was dead, then no-one would stop the Boss, and Wonderland would be Hell. He’d kill anyone and everyone, even his own daughter, if they stepped in his way. He killed the Red Queen, Alice, and Hatter, everyone who had enough power to stop him.
Everyone except Beth, because she’s next. Once she’s gone, Wonderland will die. She looked around, looking for an escape. On her right, she saw a small gap in the wooden fence. But, alas, it was too small Beth to crawl through. Through it, however, Beth could see the Looking Glass. Suddenly, she heard an engine revving. She snapped her head towards the sound, seeing a navy blue Aston Martin speed around the corner. It pulled up, and the front door opened. Out stepped the Boss, dressed in his usual tight black button-down shirt, tight black trousers and black Italian shoes. His dyed black hair was slicked back, and his handsome face held a smug grin. He made Beth want to throw up. He walked over to her, observed her, and turned to his thugs. "Well well, boys. Look what you’ve caught for me today." He said, still smiling. He turned back to Beth, the smile had disappeared. "So, Beth. Given up yet?" He asked. He took a step towards her, just as she spat in his eye. "Be careful, Beth." He warned her. "One word and they’ll kill you."
"So they’ll kill me if I do this?" Beth asked. She lashed out her hand, slapping him hard in the face. He groaned in pain, and the thugs stepped closer. They were now two feet away.
"Boss, can we kill her now? After all, she’s just a rat." Said one of the thugs on Beth’s left. The Boss shook his head.
"Not yet." He said. "In a minute, I promise you can kill her, but not right now." The Boss looked at Beth. "Beth, why don’t you come home? Why got just forget all this, and come home?" He asked her, his voice falsely soft, his eyes falsely kind.
"What? Come home so you can kill me there, Father? Oh, I’m sorry. You like to be called Boss, don’t you? Ha!" Beth spat, her voice full of venom. Boss’s eyes narrowed into vibrant green slits.
"Fine then" Boss said, walking away. "Kill her."
