Best Zombie Movies

If you love horror movies, then you must be aware of zombie movies that are a league of their own in this genre. The focus in this article is on such movies. Make a note of them and don't forget to watch them!
Zombie movies generally fall in the category of horror movies and they belong to a different genre of movies in the entertainment industry. Zombies are typically projected as mindless and shambling corpses with only one desire - to feed on human flesh and in some cases, on the human mind. After going through some movie reviews and some from the list of my personal favorites, here the movies that have made a great impact on movie buffs.

All Time Famous Zombie Flicks
Generally, in all such movies, the plots are quite similar (zombies rise from dead and men struggle to send them back), however, scenes and their presentation can vary significantly.

Dawn of the Dead (2004)
Directed by Zack Snyder of 300 and Watchmen fame, Dawn of the Dead is notable for its awesome ending, which was a first in that list.

28 Days Later (2002)
Danny Boyle, of Slumdog Millionaire fame had long ago proved his genius in direction by making one of the best zombie movies in the history of Hollywood movies. This movie sends chills down your spine and you're bound to get goosebumps after you watch this movie, which shows a disease that spreads and affects the entire society.

Bio Zombie (1998)
With lots of bloods and guts, this zombie movie is seriously outrageous resembling horror movies of America in late 1990s. Iraqi agents, in the movie, smuggle a threatening biochemical agent by hiding it in a bottle of soda and two crazy video gamers, eventually unleash it onto the public, causing death and destruction.

Re-Animator (1985)
A medical student in Switzerland moves to US and continues his research on reviving dead human brain cells. With the concept of re-animator injection and plans to 'win death', the medical student, Herbert West, fails in his attempt and his research threatens mankind. With Jeffrey Comb in lead role, Re-Animator is a must watch.

Planet Terror (2007)
After directing Desperado, Robert Rodriguez again impresses with his genius. An all-star cast movie, Planet terror, is a must watch for all movie buffs.

Dead Alive (1992)
Although Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings is my favorite movie ever, his directing skills are also evident in Dead Alive, that he made nearly a decade ago before directing Lord of the Rings. With lots of interesting turns, Dead Alive is certainly worth watching.

Survival of the Dead (2009)
With the catch phrase, 'survival isn't just for the living', Survival of the Dead, directed by George A. Romero, takes place in a nightmarish world, where the dead go on killing living beings. This zombie movie definitely deserves a top place in the horror list.

Quarantine (2008)
Although an easy movie when it comes to predicting the end, Quarantine is enjoyable, violent and hilarious till the end. Altogether, a great movie to enjoy as there are also some humorous parts in it.

Certainly, you must also be having some movies on your mind. If some of the movie you like are not in this list, then share it with your fellow movie buffs by writing about them in the comments column below.
