Generally, the tourists from round the globe visits the country in the months of September to March when the condition of weather is quite pleasant and perfect to travel around. The month of December and January is freezing, therefore it is advised to the people to carry the woolens wherever the tourists travel in the country. September is the time when the rain is pouring and weather is pleasant though it is bit humid. There are some parts of India which also experiences the winter monsoons in which the rains are pouring in the month of November and December. The southern part of the country hardly experiences any winter season. The weather in the southern part of the country is humid at the day time but it may get chilly in the night.
The month from April to August is having the scorching heat and sometimes the heat is so much that it becomes intolerable for the people. Therefore, the tourists visits the hill stations where they enjoys the scenic beauty and a relatively cooler climate. The monsoons in the month of the July to September and with the rains it becomes messy and puddles everywhere in the plains. This was an overview of the weather conditions in India which can help in finding out the best time to visit this diverse country India.
Generally the best considered time to visit the country is the winter season in the month of October to February which is the coolest one and the tourists feels ease which encourages the travelers to visit the other tourists spots in the country. Most of the Indian festivals are also celebrated during this time such as Pushkar Fair in Rajasthan, the Republic Day (in January), Holi (the festival of colors) and many other.
Mainly the best time to visit India also depends on the various regions of the country. For the northern regions of the country the most preferred time to visit is October to February, the shoulder season is from March to June and the low season is July, August and September. For the southern part of the country the high season is November to January, the mis season is February to May and the low season is June to October.
To understand the definition of the the high season is when the weather is cool. In these high season the nights are cool. The southern part of the country are not as cool and pleasant as the northern part of the country. The low season means the monsoon season. At this time India experiences some shiny sunny days. Southern India does experience a few hot and humid days but not too bad to stop visitors from exploring various cities. And lastly the shoulder season is the time of the year when one can expect hot temperatures. Many tourists ventures back from the beaches and find themselves better in the hilly areas for the cooler climate.
