Best Sangria Recipes
With its origins in Spain, Sangria makes a great party wine punch. Sangria is typically a concoction made of red wine, seasonal, fresh fruit, and a dash of citrus flavored bubbly soda. However, white wine can also be used instead of red. Simple to make, super to drink, Sangria usually is a great hit, even amongst those who haven’t quite developed a taste for wine. Given below are some of the best Sangria recipes.

Peachy Sangria Blanca

1 750-ml bottle of white wine, dry
6 tbsp lemonade concentrate
¾ cup vodka, peach flavored
1 lb peaches, white, pitted and sliced
¼ cup sugar
¾ cup red grapes, seedless, cut into halves
¾ cup black grapes, seedless, cut into halves

Combine the wine, lemonade concentrate, vodka, and sugar in a large sized pitcher, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then add the green and red grapes as well as the peaches. In order to blend all the flavors well, refrigerate this for a couple of hours or so, or even overnight. Serve over ice.

Sangria Sensation

1 750-ml bottle of red wine, dry
1/2 cup brandy
1/3 cup lemonade concentrate
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup orange juice
1/2 cup Cointreau
1 orange, sliced
1 lime, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
8 maraschino cherries
1/4 cup sugar, optional
2 cups soda water, optional

Combine together the red wine, cointreau, orange juice, lemonade concentrate, lemon juice, brandy, and sugar in a pitcher or bowl, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Then float the maraschino cherries, and the slices of lime, orange and lemon into the mixture. In order to get the best flavor refrigerate this overnight. In order to add fizz to the Sangria, add the soda water just before you serve it.

Rosy Peachy Sangria

6 cups rose wine, chilled
1 cup of peach flavored syrup
4 peaches, ripe and fresh, sliced
2/3 cup confectioner’s sugar
6 cups lime soda, chilled
Ice

Mix together the sugar, peaches, and peach syrup, and allow it to stand at room temperature for an hour. Pour this into a pitcher and mix in the wine into it. Put the ice into serving glasses and fill them with Sangria until they are 3/4ths full, and then top with the lime soda.

Rummy-Citrus Sangria

1 750-ml bottle red wine, dry
1 1/2 cups rum
1 cup orange juice
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
1 lime, sliced
1/2 cup sugar

Put the sliced orange, lime, and lemon in a large sized pitcher, and then add the sugar and rum, mixing to dissolve the sugar. Then refrigerate this for a couple of hours to bring out the flavors. Before serving, crush the fruit a little using a wooden spoon and mix in the orange juice and wine.
