Best New TV Shows 2011
Every year we see a bunch of new TV series released for our entertainment. So how about taking a look at the best new TV shows 2011.

New TV Series 2011
We're already a few months into 2011. While there already have been a number of television series that have been released and are doing rather well, there are others which aren't yet on air, and whose arrival we await. How about taking a look at what's already available for your viewing pleasure, and what the best TV shows of 2011 could be.
Body of Proof (ABC)
Expected to premiere on March 29, 2011, this show is about Dr. Megan Hunt (Dana Delany), a neurosurgeon who was in a league of her own, until her career at this position meets its end due to a terrible accident which no longer allows her to continue her job with the current profile. She decides to start over as medical examiner. Unfortunate for her, she doesn't know where to draw the line, and has built up a reputation for overstepping boundaries, and walking into jobs that should be handled by the cops. As if that wasn't sufficient, she reaches a point of turmoil in her personal life too. Question is, will she be able to fix it before it completely falls apart?
Chaos (CBS)
Chaos, which will be an hour long comic drama, is about rogue CIA spies who investigate threats to national security, while trying to ensure that they don't lose their own jobs. The 'Pilot' episode will see these agents team up and work with a freshman named Rick Martinez, only to realize, he is the potential threat to them and their job. The show will premiere on April 1, 2011, on CBS, so make sure you find the time to watch it.
Happy Endings (ABC)
This half hour long comic series will premiere on the ABC Network on April 13, 2011. This series is about the lives of a bunch of friends who are in a dilemma because of the reason they are all together today. What do you do when you are friends with a couple who have just broken up? Who do you pick? Moreover, how do you pick? Watch Happy Endings to find out... The series premiere will be an hour long deal, airing two episodes back-to-back.
A few other new series coming in 2011 are also Breaking In, Love Bites, and Friends with Benefits. So these were a few amongst the best new TV shows 2011 to look forward to. What about the ones that are already on air? Here they are...
Already on Air
- Fairly Legal (USA): This show is about lawyer Kate Reed who changes her profile to work as a mediator at the law firm started by her father. It also it about her and the firm dealing with the loss of her father after his recent death.
- American Idol (Fox): Another season, another set of judges. This show hasn't been the same since we saw Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell leave. Lucky for American Idol though, they haven't lost their loyalists, those who still watch this popular reality show.
- Mr. Sunshine (ABC): Ben Donovan (Matthew Perry) is the manager of a mediocre sports arena, and is dealing with mid-life crisis. It's only on his 40th birthday that he decides to think his life over.
- Episodes (Showtime): While 'Chandler' is back with Mr. Sunshine, former F.R.I.E.N.D.S. star Matt LeBlanc (Joey) is being seen as himself on this TV series. The series is about a British husband-wife couple who after a great success with their sitcom in the U.K. decide to come try their luck at Hollywood, only to face a disaster in both, their professional as well as personal life.
- Shameless (Showtime): An alcoholic father being the strangest in a family that is full of strange people, this show is based on the popular British series of the same name.
- Lights Out (FX): Patrick "Lights" Leary, an erstwhile boxing champion, is now dealing with financial problems. He's only got two options. Either he accepts the job as a debt collector, or he restores himself to his former glory by winning everything back in the boxing ring.
So that was a small list of the best new TV shows 2011. Let's hope that the ones that are already on are here to stay, while the ones whose release we await, turn out to be a success too. I know I'm really waiting on a few of these shows already.
