Best Mileage Cars
Rising fuel prices and global warming have prompted consumers to hunt for the best mileage cars. Here we have profiled some cars that provide the best mileage and yet don't cost a fortune.

Two-seater compact cars and hybrid cars are in general highly fuel-efficient. The concept of hybrid cars started gaining a lot of popularity due to their unique technology and efficiency of operation. Though these cars have a very complex kind of engineering, such cars are very effective due to a simple working principle. In normal cars, the car's motion is largely controlled by the brakes and gears, the application of brakes and changing of gears results into friction and generation of heat, which slows down the car. However, one big flaw is that the kinetic energy (motion of the car) gets converted into heat energy which is ultimately wasted. The hybrid car's mechanism works in such a way that when the brakes are applied, the kinetic energy is converted into electric energy which is in turn, is stored in the car's battery. The car's battery is then used in an electric motor which runs the car's engine. This mechanism is highly instrumental in saving fuel.
List of Best Mileage Cars
