We are in a full-blown global economy. It is natural that companies outsource parts of their business to other parts of the world. Call a large company in regards to customer support, and it's common your call is fielded in India. This is part of globalization, and it makes sense (and dollars) for companies to do this.

However, it's important to know what aspects of a business are not safe to consumers when outsourced. Take the skin care business for example. Production is one thing that scares the lights out of me. Is the lab clean? Who is manning the machinery? Who trained them? Where did they go to school? These are all freaky questions I like to know the answers to in advance of purchasing an eye cream or any other skin care product.

Did you know that production of any topical cream can be altered and the formula essentially worthless if one drop of a bad bacteria or dirt were to haplessly fall into the mix? It's true. This is why you ALWAYS need to check the background of the company you are buying from.

Eye creams made in the USA are subject to State Health board regulations and regular visits from the FDA. It's important to their business to comply with all codes and regulations. Not only that, their employees are trained each year in all new laws and codes. This means you are buying from a supervised, policed organization that abides by all federal and state laws when making your eye cream.

Think of it this way, would you like to apply a cream to your eye that was made in a dirty lab, by someone being paid less than a dollar per hour? My obvious answer is no. There is no way I would apply any eye cream to my sensitive under eye area that was made in those conditions. It's simply a risk I would not want to take.

Be sure to check into all skin care products you buy online. You will be surprised how many of them may not be made in sanitary conditions.
