Homemade Eye Creams
There are tons of anti wrinkle skin care products in market. However, some of these products can harm the skin, rather than helping them. With the fear of side effects from some harsh chemicals in these eye creams, many prefer to make their own natural eye cream. We have put together some beneficial anti aging cream recipes for you to try. As there are only natural ingredients used, the risk of damaging your skin reduces completely.
Eye Cream #1
In a bowl, mash at least 3 ripe avocados with a fork. Next, add about 5-6 drops of almond oil in the bowl and mix everything properly. Make a smooth paste and apply it directly over the wrinkles on the face. Let the paste settle in for 5-10 minutes and then wash your face with lukewarm water. Pat your face dry; use the cream as often as you want. Avocado is an active ingredient, which makes this one of the best eye creams for wrinkles and fine lines.
Eye Cream #2
In a small pan, add 2 tablespoons of water and 1 tablespoon lanolin. Heat it on low heat and mix both ingredients properly. Now add 1½ tablespoon of sweet almond oil in the pan. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon lecithin (in powder form). Keep stirring till you get a smooth paste. If the cream becomes too thick, add couple drops of water in it. Apply this natural eye cream around the eyes and let it sit for 15 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water and pat dry. Apply the cream as often as possible.
Eye Cream #3
In a blender, add a small potato and 2 tablespoons of unsweetened applesauce. Blend everything perfectly till you get a smooth paste. Pour the cream in a bowl and apply it around your eyes. Place a damp cloth over your eyelids and rest for 15 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water and pat dry. Use this cream at least 3-4 times a week. This is the best under eye cream for wrinkles and puffiness.
Eye Cream #4
This next eye cream is not a cream; technically it's a lotion. In a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and honey, and ½ teaspoon lemon juice. Mix the ingredients properly till you get a smooth paste. Apply this lotion on your face and neck. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and wash your face with lukewarm water. Pat your face dry.
Over-the-counter Eye Creams
When our skin starts to lose its natural moisture, it begins to turn dry and develop fine lines. The levels of collagen from the skin tends to decrease which adversely affects the dermal layer of our skin. Although fine lines under eyes and on the sides are age-related, many times other factors can speed up the process such as damage from the sun's rays. The UV rays from the sun can be extremely harsh to our delicate skin, which is why you should protect it at all times. Here are some eye creams for wrinkles that are easily available at drugstores.
