Thinking about the best bands of all time who gave you timeless music and songs. Well it's a tough call to select the few best names from so many marvelous performers who bring the roof down every time they step on stage.
The music industry is vast. No one knows when it began and probably till the last human is alive music will be there. Music itself has so many genres that it's just impossible to name it. Of course we know all the western types but there are also classical, eastern, folk and many tribal music forms that are yet to be seen and heard. Starting from the early 60's making a band was a popular custom across the United States and UK. Teenage boys and girls who had no interest in studies or their future head out to make music bands. Some of them achieved world-wide fame and attention which made them immortal in the world of music. Today we talk about those people, those bands who forever changed the history of music and continue to inspire generations.

Now thinking of some good bands of all time is surely a job where you need to use your head like you've never used it before. This names mentioned in this article is a personal choice, so no offenses to anyone.

The Beatles
They made great music till the time they were together. The Beatles are without a shot of a doubt the #1 name on my list of best bands of all time. They were a hit from their very simple and homely beginning to an unpredictable end. With album sales reaching to more than a billion worldwide, no other band has had a greater influence on people.

Rolling Stones
Whenever they played it was called a class act. The original bad boys of rock music. The Rolling Stones were one of the most successful and durable bands in history since their career started in 1961. Truly one of the best rock bands of all time.

Nirvana
No matter what you people say, Nirvana had a strong effect on people. Some people still have a doubt in the music of Nirvana. What they don't know is, Nirvana single handedly brought a new age of rock in the 90's. Without Nirvana the concept of best rock bands wouldn't have lasted too long. It doesn't get better than "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Nile
The music of Nile is more incline towards loud music. Nile is considered as one of the best screamo bands in the world. The band's lead singer Karl Sanders interest in Egyptology has been a strong influence on the band's music and lyrics. The work of H.P. Lovecraft, the famous writer of horror novels is also considered as a heavy influence on the songs of Nile.

Backstreet Boys
The Orlando band hit stardom in 1999 with its album "Millennium". With Millennium, Backstreet Boys became one of the top selling bands of all time. People went crazy wherever they went. They performed at packed concerts. Their song 'I Want It That Way' became one of the most played songs in the history of American radio.

The Grateful Dead
The Grateful Dead is one of the best jam bands of all time. People who love jams loved The Grateful Dead. They had a long and successful career till one of the band's most important member Jerry Garcia passed away. The Grateful Dead would never play the same show twice.

Iron Maiden
When you talk about loud music, you talk about Iron Maiden. One of the most famous British bands, it only saw a few changes since it started playing music. It was one of the best punk rock bands of the 80's and probably even today if you see their act you won't be disappointed.

Death Cab for Cutie
Making their fans by composing songs for famous shows like The O.C., Six Feet Under and many more. Death Cab for Cutie is certainly one of the best indie bands today. It started as a one man band from Washington and now consist of four members. Till date they have released six studio albums which all have been well received and has also earned them a Grammy award nomination.

Jackson 5
No offense to Jacky, Jermaine, Tito and Marlon, but when you see the Jackson 5 your eyes are just stuck to one and one person only and that is the great Michael Jackson. From a young age Michael Jackson was a smiling, young and talented music artist. Born in Indiana in 1965, the Jackson 5 inspired the future of many boy bands. But who would have guessed that young talented lead singer someday would become the King of Pop and a living legend.

Aerosmith
Has Steven Tyler left Aerosmith is still a topic of hot discussion but the rest of the band will surely be remembered as one of the best musical group. Their great songs and music makes them one of the greatest rock and roll bands from the US. The Armageddon soundtrack sung by Steven Tyler is one of my favorite songs.
