Best Anime Ever

It will be unfair to all other anime series, if I say one series is better than the others. Every anime has its own individuality and every series feels equally engrossing. This is the charm of anime.

It is a style of animation which was specifically developed by Japanese people. Anime, the word itself is a nick name and not the actual name. Katakana is the name given to traditional or normal animation developed by Japanese. More often than not, anime involves heavy martial arts. Anime is very popular in eastern countries and only recently it has gained popularity in west. So, to a die-hard fan anime, it is just obvious to wonder about the best anime ever. The following article should be interesting to read for such an anime fan.

Naruto
Naruto is an aspiring young ninja who is constantly searching for recognition. He has a very strong desire to defeat Hokage, who is considered as the leader of all the ninja in his village. (Hokage is a post reserved for the most powerful ninja in the village). Naruto himself has a nine tailed demon fox sealed inside him. When naruto was just an infant, this nine tailed demon fox had attacked the village of 'Konohagakure'. The then hokage had to sacrifice his life to defeat the nine tailed demon fox but sealed it inside the infant Naruto before dying. The third hokage who had replaced the fallen hokage, made a decree that no one would even mention the attack of the nine tailed demon fox. So, this secret remained undisclosed for years to come. Years later, Naruto was tricked by the ninja Mizuki into stealing a forbidden enchanted scroll but he was stopped by his teacher Iruka Umino. With the power that Naruto receives from the stroll, he manages to defeat Mizuki and also realizes that he is the container of the demon fox. Naruto, manages to become a part of a ninja team called 'Team 7'; and gradually strives to improve his power and technique.

Ghost in the Shell
The plot of this series is placed in futuristic Japan. The main protagonist in this series is Matugo Kasunagi. Her nick name in the series is Major (this may be due to her military background). Due to her bionic cyborg body, she is able to perform great feats of physical activity during combat. She works for a secretive government organization known as 'Section 9'. Section 9 is dedicated to the crime investigation related to foreign affairs; many times forcing them to come directly into the line of fire. Being experts in covert operations, they frequently have to encounter active combat.

InuYasha
Placed in medieval Japan, InuYasha is son of a great youki (demon) dog, who was the ruler of the entire western Japan. However InuYasha's mother is human. Because of this, InuYasha is neither human nor yauki, he is uniquely termed as honoi (or half demon). Though, InuYasha is very powerful, he is no match for his elder brother, sessomaru, who is a full youki. In this series, the main antagonist is naraku, who was a human himself but has allowed many other less powerful demons to infest his body. This unique amalgamation makes him a true evil demon with a human heart. The series also has Jewel of Four Souls, which is the most power entity in the world. The possessor of the jewel will get infinite power. The events unfold in such a way that the jewel is shattered into shards. These shards are also capable of giving power to its demon possessor. Initially Sessomaru and Inuyasha are rivals in the series but at the end, they get together to defeat Naraku who has gained possession of all the shards.

Avatar: The Last AirBender
In the world of avatar, there are four nations. The water nation, earth nation, the air nomads and fire nation. The people of water nation have the ability of bending water, the people of earth nation have the capability to bend earth, the air nation people can bend air and the fire nation have power to bend fire. Avatar is the only person who is capable of bending all four elements and hence he is in charge of maintaining balance between the nations. Series of events unfold in such a manner that avatar gets trapped inside an iceberg and is forced to meditate for a hundred years. In the absence of avatar, the fire nation began a conquest of taking over the world and is about to nearly finish it. Avatar is the only person who can defeat the fire nation and its evil empire.

Even though anime is a Japanese concept, Avatar is considered as the best anime created by Americans. Personally, I feel the best anime ever created is InuYasha. In this article, I have given snippets of a few best anime series. But it is not a compulsion to the reader to believe them to be. But, best in anything is simply a matter of choice.
