Best Advertising with Search Engine Optimization
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the new wave of effective advertising. Many don't know what it is or understand what it can do for a business. Search Engine Optimization is the process of enhancing a website to the point that it appears in the top ten "natural" search results over the major search engine: Google, Yahoo and Bing. Natural search results are the non-paid results which show up in the main part of the page. So many business owners are spending tens of thousands of dollars per month or week doing pay-per-click advertising that they're missing the boat from all the free traffic they could get simply by hiring a web design company with proven search engine optimization techniques.

Search engine optimization is the process of finding out how consumers are searching particular goods or services then optimizing the website for these "keywords" and "key phrases". This is accomplished by increasing the link popularity and page rank by building backlinks to the website. A backlink is a "hyperlink" on Web Site A that links to Web Site B. However, Web Site B will not link back to Web Site A.

Each backlink is the equivalent of a vote Web Site B's popularity and trustworthiness. Backlinks are built through online directories, press releases, articles, social media and bookmarking. A website needs tens of thousands of these backlinks to appear in the top ten search results for popular keywords such as "Advertising" or "Lawyers". Search engine optimization tend not to offer any type of guarantee of the results but with a little research we found one in Massachusetts called Legacy SEO. We're not sure how they offer a guarantee when no one else will but there seems to be no risk involved.

We've studied how much people are paying per click and it seems to cost about 1000% more to do a pay per click than to optimize a site to appear in the top ten search results for free traffic forever. Approximately 80% of clicks occur in the natural search results according to Google It seems to make sense to place your website where consumers click 8 out of 10 times and get the traffic for free as opposed to paying for clicks where consumers will only click 2 out of 10 times. We'll be continuing our search engine optimization tutorial over the next few months so be sure to follow us.
