Sun Burns and Sun Protection: Vitamin E oil is used to treat sunburns. They are absorbed by the epidermis layer of the skin and soothe the minor damages caused by ultraviolet radiations. It is used in making sunscreen lotions. When added to sunscreen, it enhances its effect. However, to get the best result one should apply it at least 20 minutes prior to any type of sun exposure.
Treating Scars: Vitamin E oil is useful for removing scars from the skin. When it is regularly applied on acne scars or scars caused due to some bruises, it first softens the area and then lightens the mark within a few weeks. The scars will disappear within a few months. It is equally effective in reducing stretch marks. However, it may not be very effective for surgical scars.
