Running is one of the oldest cardiovascular exercises known, and the best till date. When we think of losing those extra pounds, we think of hitting at a local gym. So make sure you run 5 to 6 miles daily which is more than enough for ordinary people like us. Obviously, we are not marathoners so, don't over-run.

  • Always eat a healthy balanced diet which will complement your running. Stay healthy. Hog on carbohydrates more in comparison to proteins and fats. Carbs have glucose which is required by muscles while we run.
  • Drink fluids or water in order to avoid dehydration. Do not over-drink it.
  • Use good sport shoes, which make do running with ease. Wear your gym clothes like tees or shorts.
  • You might get bored alone. Use an i-pod as an entertainer, if you want to. Or else, make sure you have a company with you while you are running.
