What is Greek Yogurt
So, now we know that Greek yogurt is a traditional dairy product from Greece. How is it different from the regular yogurt? In fact, it is the process of its preparation that makes it different in texture and flavor. It is said that traditionally, this yogurt was prepared from the milk of sheep or goat. But, now, due to the commercialization of this dairy product, cow's milk is used for making this yogurt. In order to prepare Greek yogurt, milk is boiled for longer periods, as this helps in reducing the water content. This is the main reason for the thick, creamy texture of this yogurt.
