Believe What You Will Part One (Section Two)

We arrived at a cabin about 5 minutes away from town, and our closest neighbor is 3 miles one way and 7 the other. Our driveway is surrounded by dense forest. We pull up and before we unpack we walked in to perform a house blessing. My mom unlocks the door and we make our way to the living room. We cast the circle, and invoke the Goddess asking for protection. We close the circle then drink a glass of wine while we were sitting on the floor.
"Hey mom, do you think that we won’t have to move again for a while." My sister’s voice pipes up. My mom and I share a look; I nod to give her encouragement.
"Honey, I think we will be able to stay here for a long time." She smiles, I get up to go look around the house. I head into the kitchen, I walk over to the full length wall window, and it was amazing. There was about a 10 acre clearing leading to more forest further back. It was such a dense and beautiful green, it was amazing and perfect.
"Hey there, I think I know which room is yours." My moms voiced piped up behind me. It didn’t scare me because I could sense she was there. I turn and smile.
"This is perfect and beautiful you know." She smiles and nods and walks towards and door on the left side of the living room. I walk across the living room where there is a door open and look in. I take a sharp inhale of breath. The left is pretty much the same window that was in the kitchen that looks out into the back yard. Starting by the door is a full length bookshelf running across the wall. Standing in between two doors on the opposite wall was my mom.
"You did a good job not thinking about this while around me." She laughed and smiled.
"You have no idea how hard that was." Her voice is soothing and smooth. People say we sound alike, but her voice sounds so much wiser and patience. She opened the two doors she was standing beside. One was a walk in closet while the other was a bathroom with one of those old styled bathtubs that stand off the floor. It was unbelievable, it was perfect. We spent the rest of the next two days unpacking and settling in. Before I know it, its Monday and I have to start my first day back in my junior year at Drakes High School.
I get up and pull on a plain black v-neck and skinny jeans with my flats. I am already tall so there is no need to add on to it. My paleness and freckles stand out next to my black t-shirt. My curly red hair and blue-green eyes seem to be gleaming. People say I am gorgeous but I seem to intimidating for it to matter. I walk into the kitchen but can’t help but feel welcome and at home. Its peaceful and perfect.
"Hey there, excited for your first day?" My mom is too excited.
"Its school, do you have any herbal tea I can take with me, it helps to keep me energized." My mom frowns, she gets that I am going to be probing peoples minds to know things about them. It’s useful to help pick out friends that are trustworthy. Plus it’s a new school and nobody knows anything about me so its time for a change.
"In the refrigerator, you need to drop your sister off at the elementary school. I’ll pick her up in the afternoon so you can do whatever you want." I nod and go get the little rascal out of her room. Her room was similar to mine but hers watches the sunrise, while mine is the sunset.
"Hey Annabella, time to go to school." Her blonde head bobs out of her room and she smiles brightly. She is so adorable, she has freckles scattered across the bridge of her nose and cheeks. No wonder she always gets straight A’s. How can anyone fail someone who looks like a real life angel?
"Hey Dahlia, your taking me?"
"Yeah squirt I am." She smiles grabs her back pack and a jacket. While I grab my tweed coat and we go to my car. Her elementary school is well, big. We get there early so I park a little ways away so I can talk to her. She is too nervous for her own good.
"Bells don’t be so nervous." She smiles quickly, and then frowns. "What is wrong?"
"How come I don’t have powers like you and mom yet?" Now why did I know that she was going to ask that?
"Well Bells, you will get them without a doubt." Her excitement hits me like an electric shock waking me up. "The thing is you probably won’t get them till you are a teenager." She frowns.
"I don’t want to wait three more years." I laugh, I don’t mean to because that just upsets her more.
"Listen Annabella, you’re in training now and you know that. We don’t even know what powers you will get. You need to learn to be responsible first before you even get them." She nods and her mood starts to become content. Her school finally opens and she jumps out running towards the school before I even say goodbye. I budge into her head and that is where my goodbye awaits. I smile and laugh, what a strange little girl.
