Believe What You Will Part One (Section One)

Here is another story for those who enjoy paranormal stuff. Leave me some comments on it and I will post more of the story, it gets better in my opinion.
Here I am sitting in class, my last day here at Johnson High, that is before I move yet again. The reason we move is because people think my family is crazy. Family being my mother, my sister, and me of course, you may be wondering about my father. Well that’s a story all in itself, maybe i will tell you later. Anyways people think my family is crazy is because my mother well, there’s no simple way to put this. Well she is a witch, no lie. Well and myself, I am not exactly ordinary. I have the ability to read peoples mind. Most people can figure out how to do this, while with some they can just know without practice or prior knowledge. Oh, the more important thing I know how to do the whole telekinesis thing. That is moving objects with my mind.

Ms. Dahlia, answer my question." Startled, I look up and give her a smile.Mrs. Tyler is a short, fat lady with glasses and waddles when she walks. She raises her dark caterpillar looking eyebrows at me.

"Sorry, its just a beautiful day." I said it flatly because the skies are gray and it looks like a downpour is about to occur. I hear snickers around the class room because of course they know why were moving. We lived here for a year before people got curious as to why we never let anyone come over. Once we did, they snooped and found everything. Were not crazy, I am positive there was more then one witch in this town. Oh well, now were leaving the city and moving to some country town in Maine. Oh joy, cold weather here we come.

Finally the bell rings and, everyone bustles out of the classroom and into the halls. I make my way to my locker; I smile as I open it and clean it out. So long religious persecution. I thought America was supposed to give religious freedom, but I guess I was wrong. I hear a throat clear beside me as I see Jake standing beside me. Sure he was lanky, and had glasses. Ask any girl and they would say he had great potential. He was like me though, why care if they are still going to judge you anyway.

"Hey Jake."

"I am sad to see you go, anytime this city gets anyone decent they have to force them to leave." His voice is scratchy, sound like he is getting a cold. I probably have tissues in this damn locker somewhere. There they are, I grab them and close my locker and hand them to him to finally look him in the eyes. "Thanks."

"No problem, you need one more ride home from me before I go." I give him a polite smile. He nods and we make our way to my black Dodge Charger. Jake is very quiet and anxious on the way to his house and it makes me feel uneasy, like something isn’t quite right with him. I park in his drive way and turn off the engine. I take a deep breath and turn to face him.

"Jake is there something you want to talk about." He doesn’t look at me but he nods.

"Listen Dee, you know I will do anything for you." He pauses to turn and face me, and all I see in his eyes are pure affection and love. It makes my heart ache because I cant return those feelings towards him. I nod though so he will continue. "You need anything, or if anyone bothers you, just call me and ill be there." I give him my best dazzling smile.

"Jake," I feel his emotions shift as I push happiness and reassurance into him. "I am not exactly helpless remember. Plus, you can drive up and visit whenever you want." He gives in, but I still feel his affection edging on taking over. "Ill call you soon ok."
He nods and we hug over the glove compartment. He gets off and I head back into the city towards the apartment.

I finally pull into my parking spot and walk up to the apartment. As I reach the top of the stairs, lightning strikes with the rain following. The scent overwhelms me, and I cant help but smile and thank Mother Nature. I unlock the door to see my mother and sister sitting on the couch and watching a movie. I silently stifle a laugh; it’s a funny sight because that’s all that is left in the living room. I drop my book bag by the door, and sit on the floor in front of the couch and watch the rest of Fight Club with them. See we are normal, for the most part.

The next morning, I wake up with my back killing me. I look up to see my little sister laying on the couch with a blanket over her. Her pale blonde hair is sticking up everywhere, I cant help but laugh. She is cute, but she is only 10, and hasn’t really entered the real world yet. I get up and wonder through the house looking for my mom.

"Mom?" There was a pause.

"In the kitchen sweetie." I walk to the kitchen to see her standing looking out the window with a cup of coffee in her hands. I walk over beside her and look out the window to watch the sunrise. I look at my moms strawberry blonde hair, and a smile on her face.

"Don’t worry mom, were out in the open country this time. It will work out this time. Ill make sure of it." She looks at me with her pale blue eyes turning grey.

"Its alright, I know you will. Now wake up your sister, we need to be on the road so we can get you two registered at school so you two can start back up on Monday." I nod and carry my sister to the truck still asleep as we travel on the road for the next two and a half hours to northern part of Maine.
