Belief
Poetry cycle - My Teenage Years. Poetry I wrote in high school. Sometimes it’s hard to believe the one you love…
I’d believe you only if you loved me
I’d tell you all my secrets and sorrows
Only if I believed in you.
You looked into my eyes
They told you tales of sadder times
You knew I’d leave you soon
‘Cause you knew I didn’t believe in you.
Yet, as I turned to go
You took my hand
You saw my falling tears
And knew at last
I believed in you.
I’d tell you all my secrets and sorrows
Only if I believed in you.
You looked into my eyes
They told you tales of sadder times
You knew I’d leave you soon
‘Cause you knew I didn’t believe in you.
Yet, as I turned to go
You took my hand
You saw my falling tears
And knew at last
I believed in you.
