Being In Love

A relation with God is just like being in love. When you start knowing God more and more, you simply fall in love with Him, you simply realize that all those fake images you had about God are melting away and your eyes open, you see a God who genuinely cares, who is concerned about your deepest feelings and is willing to spend time with you and carry you in His arms.

God is not a boring God as many people picture Him like! It is the mask of hypocrisy that paints that image of God because mere religion cannot show or have the characteristics of a relationship with the Redeemer. Religion gives birth to fanaticism but a relationship with God gives birth to a real Godly character abounding in pure love.

I am always amazed to see how Jesus presented God. Yes, Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the very embodiment of God, the Creator! Wow! Lucky those who saw Him walking on Earth! So compassionate and humble! This is so unlike all fame images today! Yes, Jesus did not walk away from the people with problems, He came exactly for those! He came for sinners who needed forgiveness and healing in their hearts as well as in their bodies.

Can you imagine having walked with Jesus back then? Wow, my heart jumps when I think about that! Oh, walking with Him is anything but boring! It is the most exciting life ever! Can you imagine being a co-worker with Jesus? Can you imagine what would it be like to have Jesus Christ teach you how to cast out demons, how to heal the sick how to praise God? One of the most precious lessons He taught us was how to suffer and how to have joy in the middle of sorrow, looking up, seeing the Heavenly realm where the great reward from our Father, God Himself, awaits us. All of that in the midst of persecution? It is so different from all the success ideas a human mind can conceive!

Seeing things through the eyes of Jesus differs enormously when it comes to values. Jesus Christ, saw the coin of the widow as being more precious than all the other treasures brought as offering by the rich and famous. What a site! What a perspective! Almost everything is upside down! The rich young man is advised to gather riches in Heaven (by selling and giving to the poor his whole fortune), the religious formalism is confronted and brought to light. The blind get their site but those who think that they see…they are spiritually blind.

When you get to Know Jesus Christ, really knowing Him, really talking to Him, it is impossible not to see what a beauty of love and humbleness shines from His whole being, that Holy and loving Nature of His is so unpolluted and pure that we would have never imagined how such a person could have survived over the centuries! Just like an innocent lamb among the hungry wolves, who’d have thought He’d made it?

Yet, He conquered with His life more than all the conquers did with all of their armies!

You know, you don’t have to stop to only imagining how life would have been if you had Jesus Christ in flesh with you. Jesus Christ, unlike all other religious leaders, is not a man; He is the embodiment of God, therefore LIFE Itself walking among us, Love Itself as His Sacrifice on the cross proved: He is not of this world that’s why He did not have an earthly army to fight for Him. He is from Above, from God’s Heavenly realm and He is The Life, He is Love, He is The Truth, He is The Light and The Only Way to God, the Father.

As I said earlier, Jesus Christ IS present NOW with you, He IS THE SAME as back then, IS willing to teach you how to life your life as He did and will always be there with you in trials in hardships but also in the happy times. Read His love letter to you- the Bible- and get to know Him!

There was a young man who did not believe in God and on his way he met an old man who said:" Well son, if you don’t believe in God just try the following: go home, take a chair and imagine that Jesus Christ is sitting on that chair then tell Him how you don’t believe in Him and tell Him the reasons why, talk to Him."

Years have passed and now the young men was in his late 80’s and on his dying bed he wanted to pray so the pastor of his Church visited him at home and wanted to sit next to him. "No, not on that chair!" the old man said and pointed to an armchair on the other side of the bed. The armchair was further but the pastor respected the grandfather’s will and was wondering why would he have him sit further and not on the chair next to his bed which was empty anyway.

The old man told him the story…that Jesus Christ has been sitting on that chair ever since he first started speaking to Him.

Jesus Christ is real; you and I will see Him one day, when He comes or when we go to Him. His Holy Spirit is present with us here and now that’s why you can make the walk with Jesus the most extraordinary reality, the reality of your everyday life!
